Arabic is one of the richest languages with vocabularies and expressions in the world. It is also one of the most descriptive languages out there wherein few words a full rich picture can be painted, a picture that can go into enough details to put the observer beyond the limits of the visual aesthetics and the literal meaning of words.
Poetry has always been a very important source to experience those pictures.
Choosing carefully verses of poetry from very famous Arabic poems and other not so famous but equally fascinating poems and showcase them in short TV fillers that celebrate the magic of this unique beautiful language through the unique beautiful poems.
We were lucky enough to have in our core team some Arabic & poetry enthusiasts, which helped a lot in shaping the final look and feel of the project. Picking the right verses of the chosen poems. The poems themselves must be chosen to cover various historical periods and different Arabic poetry styles and schools so that the fillers, in general, won’t be limited to specific literal styles and periods.
Breaking the key elements of this project was a key factor. Choosing the right calligraphy font, the beautiful verses and the masterful reciting of the verses. Since Arabic poetry was always a recited art form choosing the right reciter talent was among the important success corners for this project.
The result was beautiful 127 TV fillers of cherry-picked verses of poems, masterfully recited by Mr Hajawi and presented in very elegant visuals and Arabic calligraphy.
